Dizi is one of the most traditional Iranian foods. It is usually made with lamb, chickpeas, white beans, onion, potatoes, tomatoes, dried lime and turmeric. The ingredients are combined together and cooked until done, at which point the dish is strained. The solids are then mashed and served with the broth along with flatbread.<\/p>\n

This small Dizi restaurant is in Tarasht<\/a> neighbourhood but has regular customers from all over Tehran and suburbs. It is also very popular with the Sharif University students. Naser [Khan] Gharemani is the well-respected and well-liked owner of this unique restaurant. The place still has the 1960s feel.<\/p>\n
