A few years ago due to fluctuations in the level of the Caspian Sea in the last decade, a\u00a0shipwreck\u00a0has been exposed from under the coastal sand\u00a0near the Miankaleh peninsula.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Given the type and the construction, this ship might well have been one of the ships of either Stepan Razin<\/a>, the pirate cossack who frequented these shores around 1650, or Peter the Great, who invaded Mazandaran during Russo-Persian War<\/a> (1722\u20131723).<\/p>\n
